Pollardstown Fen just 3km from Newbridge, is the largest remaining spring-fed fen in Ireland possessing a large number of characteristic fenland species and communities. The Fen began to develop 10,000 years ago when the area was covered by a large lake. Take a walk here and enjoy this wonderful natural experience with its unique flora and fauna. There is a short boardwalk looped walk of the Fen and a longer walk for avid walking enthusiasts.
Please note children must be strictly supervised and should not be allowed roam freely. Enter the fen only by the main entrance and stick to the walking track.
