The Brazen Head
20 Bridge Street Lower, Dublin 8
Ireland's Oldest Pub est. 1198

The Brazen Head is Ireland’s oldest pub. There has been a hostelry here since 1198. The present building was built in 1754 as a coaching inn, however, The Brazen Head appears in documents as far back as 1653. There is a real sense of history within these timeworn walls, which has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. If you are looking for the true Irish pub experience then the Brazen Head should be your first port of call.

The Brazen Head has a well-deserved reputation for great food, serving both traditional and contemporary dishes. The menu has something for all appetites. Famed for their traditional beef & Guinness stew and Irish stew, these hearty dishes will put a smile on anyone’s face!
