The Royal Hibernian Academy is an artist-based and artist-orientated institution dedicated to developing, affirming and challenging the public’s appreciation and understanding of traditional and innovative approaches to the visual arts.
The Academy has five galleries with three on the first floor dedicated to curated exhibitions of Irish and international art. The Academy mounts an annual open submission art show which it has organized since 1826.
The Ashford Gallery is designated to introducing artists who do not have commercial representation in Dublin to the collecting public.
